Limerick Lane - Limerick Lane is known for their zin & syrah... They also make other small production wines from time to time. We love their Late Harvest Furmint - this varietal is one used in the Tokaji dessert wines, and is just yummy...

Napa

Chateau Montelena - For those of you who keep track of wine history, you'll probably recognize 1973 Chateau Montelena cab as being one of the wines submitted in the famous California cab & vs French Bordeaux tasting of 1976... They still have great wine... Their winery & tasting room is at the northern end of the Silverado Trail in Napa, but well worth a visit. The one time we went, Jason's grandmother was able to get a tour of the cellar underneath the tasting room...

Other California

Ridge Vineyards - Ridge is probably best known for their Montebello cab blend, as well as their Lytton Springs & Geyserville zins... They have two locations to visit, one in Sonoma, and the other in the Santa Cruz Mountains... The Santa Cruz Mountains location has a great view Silicon Valley, and has picnic area as well.
